Palangka Raya University Senate Open Session with Graduation Agenda for Postgraduate and Undergraduate Programs for the Period of December 2022

Saturday, December 17 2022, Palangka Raya University held an Open Session of the Palangka Raya University Senate with the agenda for the Graduation Program for the Postgraduate and Undergraduate Programs for the period December 2022, which took place in the Hall of Palangka University. Palangka Raya University was opened by the Chairperson of the Senate, Prof. Dr. Eddy Lion, M.Pd, and then the graduation ceremony was led directly by the Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ir. Salampak, M.S. Graduation participants totaled 889 graduates with details: Faculty of Teaching and Education 236 graduates, Faculty of Economics and Business 220 graduates, Faculty of Agriculture 140 graduates, Faculty of Engineering 88 graduates, Faculty of Law 65 graduates, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences 100 graduates , Masters Postgraduate Program 36 graduates, and Doctoral Program 2 graduates.
Of the 889 graduates, 40 graduated with honors (cumlaude), with details of 1 person from the Doctoral program (S3), 13 people from the Masters program (S2) and 26 people from the Bachelor Program (S1) with details: 16 people from the Faculties Teaching and Education Sciences, 3 people from the Faculty of Engineering, 2 people from the Faculty of Law, 4 people from the Faculty of Economics and Business, and 1 person from the Faculty of Agriculture.
Chancellor of Palangka Raya University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Salampak, M.S., in his speech said that currently the University of Palangka Raya has made several achievements at the national level, including: 1) Main Performance Index (IKU), Rank 1 at IKU-4, and Rank 1 at IKU-7 . 2) Host Nationality KKN and Joint KKN BKS-PTN (Western Higher Education Cooperation Agency) in 2022, 3) Actively involved in the Freedom to Learn program and recipient of 2 Matching Fund Grants, 4) Increased accreditation of Study Programs at UPR, 5 ) Student Achievement in academics, arts and sports in 2022
To the graduates the Chancellor advised that graduates must be able to digest the situation and analyze and understand the context as well as be able to adapt to national and global conditions in facing the digital industry 4.0 and digital society era 5.0, with all the sophisticated technology that has an impact on increasingly competitive workforce. “Graduates must continue to equip themselves with science and technology with various competencies and skills, so that the Province of Central Kalimantan and the State of Indonesia will receive additional superior human resources, and I hope that those who have graduated will continue to learn and become learners. throughout life to continue to improve self-quality and provide greater benefits for many people.
