Sunday, December 18 2022, Palangka Raya University held a Joint Christmas Worship and Celebration event at the Palangka Raya University environment. On Sunday, December 19 2022 at the Palangka Hall Hall, it was attended by all academics and campus residents within the Palangka Raya University environment.
Chairman of the UPR Christmas Committee, Dr. Kiki Kristanto, SH, MH, in his report said that the implementation of the joint Christmas Worship and Celebration activities was based on the Decree of the Chancellor of the University of Palangka Raya No. 8301/UN24/KP/2022 concerning the 2022 Palangka University Big Family Christmas Committee in which it was decided that the 2022 UPR Christmas Committee be handed over to the UPR Faculty of Law as the host. The Christmas celebration carries the theme “Then they return to their country by another way” with the sub-theme “The Christmas Spirit Renewes the Excellence and Character Work Ethics of the Academic Community of Palangka Raya University”.
Chancellor of Palangka Raya University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Salampak, MS, in his remarks said that this Christmas Celebration felt solemn, considering that for the past 2 years there had not been a Christmas celebration in the UPR environment due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Chancellor also conveyed that the selection of themes was very relevant to the conditions in the work environment of Palangka Raya University, “That every goal to be achieved does not always go according to plan, so alternatives are needed with other ways to achieve these goals, and we should always apply this to continue renewing the Culture and Work Ethics of the Academic Community of the University of Palangka Raya in carrying out their duties and functions as a Higher Education Institution”.
The Christmas Worship and Celebration activities were enlivened with a choir competition and door prize draw. The Christmas Worship and Celebration activities were also attended by the Former Minister of State for the Environment, Dr. Alexander Sonny Keraf, Former Chancellor of Palangka Raya University for the 2018-2022 period, Dr. Andrie Elia, SE, M.Si, and the wife of the former UPR First Chancellor, Ms. KMA Usop.
